There is an HNBOC mailing list for members (and only members!) which they can subscribe to by putting their email address in the box below & clicking on the Yahoo button. This will only work if the Membership Secretary recognises your email address - so email the Mem Sec first if you ar not sure they have the correct one! Then, when the HNBOC webmaster has received and validated your membership with the Mem Sec, you will be admitted. If you are not yet a member, please don't try this because it just won't work - no matter how dedicated or interested you are! Either join the Club or use the HNBPD list link a little lower down this page.
Existing HNBOC mailing list members can go straight to the list pages by clicking here.
NON-club members can join the Historic Narrow Boat - Public Discussion (HNBPD) list instead. Messages from here will be forwarded to the members list but only moderated, anonymous messages will be passed back the other way.
(Nb.Members should NOT join this list as well as the above.)Existing HNBPD mailing list non-members can go straight to the list pages by clicking here.
The Club also has a system of area representatives who act on behalf of boaters in their areas. These areas largely conform to the British Waterway Regions so that the area reps may attend appropriate user group meeting in those regions and so that BW and EA managers will have a consistent local point of contact. This map is similar to that published by BW on 1-9-03 but differs in that the areas take into account non-BW waterways. Note that many of the BW areas no longer meet at logical junctions (eg Hawkesbury/Suttons) but at other locations (eg Br 9 North Oxford Canal)! The current area reps are as set out below:
